The Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC has just been released by MediaTek. It is a boosted version of the 9200 that was launched last year.
The manufacturer also unveiled the Dimensity 8050 with a 3GHz prime core built on TSMC’s 6nm process.
Dimensity 9200 Plus Details and Comparison
For starters, the Dimensity 9200 Plus does not only aim for performance supremacy. It also brings with it the following perks that demonstrate its power efficiency:
- 10-21% savings in popular games
- 35% savings in messaging apps
- 36% savings in Wi-Fi hotspot mode
The 9200 Plus is built on the 4nm TSMC N4P node, which is capable of producing higher clock speeds across the board. The chipset is said to offer 10% more power than the non-Plus version.
MediaTek did not reveal the details of the ARM Immortalis G715 GPU but confirmed an expected average performance increase of 17%.
Moreover, the display adapter supports FHD+ at 240Hz, QHD+ at 144Hz, and dual 2.5K displays at 60Hz.
The table below shows a comparison of the 9200 Plus against the 9200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
