Ahead of the Google I/O 2023 event, Google Pixel Twitter teased its upcoming devices namely the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a. The tweet included a link to an unlisted video of an ad with the NBA. The link has since been deleted but 9to5Google was able to get the YouTube link.
Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a – Google x NBA Ad
The first device that we see is the Pixel Fold while internet personality druski is on a video call with the Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The ad sprinkles in some of the features of the Pixel Fold throughout the video. The first of these is the Google Meet call with Antetokounmpo seamlessly switching from folded to being unfolded.
Shortly after, we see druski again featuring taking a photo with the Pixel Fold at 90 degrees with the rear panel flat on the table and taking a photo with the inner camera. Towards the end of the video, we see this again but with Google Meet with buttons on the inner panel that’s on the table.
Another feature that was briefly featured was a photo taken with the rear camera while the device was unfolded and the outer panel used as the display.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 7a was also spotted specifically being used by Antetokounmpo while in a tub. Perhaps the most striking ‘cameo’ of the device though was its bright orange color option in a scene.
Google is set to unveil both devices at the Google I/O 2023 Keynote on May 10 at 10 AM PT (or May 11, 1 AM, Philippine Time)
