Apple today introduced the new Apple Mac Pro and Mac Studio, two of the most powerful Macs ever made. Mac Studio features M2 Max and the new M2 Ultra, delivering a huge boost in performance and enhanced connectivity in its compact design.

These devices were launched alongside a new 15-inch Macbook Air, the M2 Ultra chipset, and the Vision Pro as well as iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and the latest versions of macOS and watchOS.

Mac Studio and Mac Pro with Apple Silicon 

First off, the Mac Studio is up to 6x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac and up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Intel-based model. The new device comes with an M2 Max that is up to 50% faster than the previous-generation Mac Studio and 4x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac. 

It features a 12-core CPU, up to a 38-core GPU, and up to 96GB of unified memory with 400GB/s of memory bandwidth. Motion graphics designers can render up to 50% faster and developers can build new versions of apps with Xcode at blazing speed.

Moreover, the Mac Studio with M2 Ultra is up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Mac Studio with M1 Ultra and up to 6x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac. 

It boasts a 24-core CPU, up to a 76-core GPU, and up to 192GB of memory with 800GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. It also features enhanced connectivity, including higher-bandwidth HDMI, 6x Pro Display XDRs, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, 4x Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10Gb Ethernet port, an enhanced HDMI port, 2x USB-A ports, 2x USB-C ports, and an SD card slot.

Meanwhile, the Apple Mac Pro contains the new Apple Silicon chips which combine the unprecedented performance of Apple’s most powerful chip with the versatility of PCIe expansion, making it up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Intel-based model.

The Apple Mac Pro starts with twice the RAM and SSD storage and features Apple’s most powerful 24-core CPU and up to 76-core GPU. Additionally, the new Mac Pro may be set up with up to 192GB of RAM and 800GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. 

Furthermore, the most sophisticated workstation graphics cards cannot compare to this amount of RAM. Now, every Mac Pro has seven Afterburner cards’ worth of performance built right in. Additionally, it includes the same top-tier media engine as Mac Studio with M2 Ultra. A record-breaking 22 streams of 8K ProRes video may be played by both.

Pricing and Availability

The Mac Studio is priced at PHP 129,990 for the 12-Core CPU, 30-Core GPU, and 16-Core Neural Engine model while the 24-Core CPU, 60-Core GPU, and 32-Core Neural Engine version is priced at PHP 259,990.

On the other hand, the Mac Pro tower starts with a price tag of PHP 449,990 while the rack version starts at PHP 479,990.
