The world’s first Android desktop robot stands at 16.5 cm and features a 2.1-inch round display with two ear-like extensions on either side of the panel and two legs.
The robot is said to have GeeUI on the software front which enables its human-machine interaction modes. At launch, these are electronic pet mode, function mode, and hybrid mode.
The robot is also confirmed to have over-the-air (OTA) updates in the future which help unlock native Android capabilities. Among these include the ability to install apps and personalize the experience.
In addition to these modes, the robot also features Chinese voice capabilities, haptic feedback, air gesture control, smartphone mini-programs, and a fifth interaction mode.
Its ‘face’ can display a variety of things including time, word memorization, message reminders, countdowns, stocks, and show incoming calls. The robot tops up its battery via wireless and wired USB-C charging.
In China, the JoyfulRobotics Desktop Robot is available for CNY 1,799 (around PHP 14,000). It will also get a global launch in collaboration with Tmall with sales starting on June 26.
