According to leakster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, MediaTek is waiting on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 before locking in the clock speed of the cores of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300.
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Reported Core Clock Speeds
The MediaTek Dimenisty 9300 is believed to be introduced in the second half of the year. The company’s next-generation flagship chipset is expected to have a 4+4+1 CPU architecture with four X4 super-large cores based on the Armv9 architecture clocked. The remaining four cores are A720 large cores based on Armv9 architecture running.
The clock speed of the different cores though, as per Digital Chat Station is tentatively set at 3.0GHz on the super-large cores and 2.0GHz on the large cores. The final clock speed is said to be set after the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit 2023 which will be held on October 24-26, so we can expect the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 to be unveiled even later but with faster core speeds.
Other reports claim that the Dimensity 9300 will be built on the TSMC 4nm N4P process which would offer a good bump in performance and power efficiency.
