Smart has formally launched its partnership with Dark League Studios (DLS) in order to further advance the esports scene and empower aspiring gamers from the grassroots to compete in the Pro scene and become national athletes.

Smart and Dark League Studios will also work towards bringing more exciting and immersive gaming experiences through the Smart GIGA Arena, an all-in-one platform which offers tournament experience for amateur players of popular games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty Mobile, PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds, and League of Legends Wild Rift.
The partnership allows Smart to grow GIGA Arena from various perspectives, which include:
- Number of tournaments
- Onboarding of game developers
- Providing consumer-centric activities within the platform
Since its launch in 2022, Smart GIGA Arena has hosted over 2 million users in nearly 1,000 tournaments, with more than PHP 4.2 million in prizes.
Smart and Dark League Studios will work closely and collaborate with the Philippine Esports Organization (PeSo) in adopting the industry’s best practices while also maintaining the highest standards of integrity and are gearing up to reach more Filipino gamers with new tournaments and enhanced features on the GIGA Arena platform.
