Qualcomm has officially announced the date of this year’s Snapdragon Summit where it is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
This is the earliest the company has held the Summit with it typically held in December but last year, it was held on November 15-17, and now a month earlier from October 24-26, 2023.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Details So Far
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is rumored to have a new 1+5+2 core setup rather than the 1+2+2+3 which was used in both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 series chipsets.
The next-generation flagship chipset is reported to have 1 Cortex-X4 prime core joined by 5 Cortex-A720 cores, and 2 Cortex-A520 cores. It is also said to have a 10MB L3 cache from 8MB and debut the Adreno 750 GPU.
According to Weibo leakster Digital Chat Station, among the first devices to be powered with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are the Xiaomi 14 series, vivo X100 series, iQOO 12 series, OnePlus 12, and realme GT5. Xiaomi is said to be the first with the following companies set to unveil their flagships in November.
