The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is expecting 110 million subs to be registered by July 25 deadline.
NTC SIM Card Registration Deadline Approaches
On July 18, Deputy Commissioner Jon Paulo Salvahan revealed that 103,519,000 people had finished registering their SIM cards during an aired public briefing. This represents roughly 61.6% of all active SIM cards in the nation.
Additionally, he revealed that the government agency hopes that the registered SIMs would reach 110 million by the July 25 deadline.
Salvahan reminded the public that the NTC and DICT will not extend the registration deadline for active users.
E-wallets associated with SIM cards will be deactivated if not registered. Loads from wallets will not be lost, but users will be unable to access them without registration.
There is no limit on user registrations, as long as correct information and government-issued identification are provided.
