Samsung has just unveiled the GDDR7 DRAM module, offering enhanced performance and improvements over its predecessor’s Graphics Double Data Rate 7(GDDR7) memory.
“Our GDDR7 DRAM will help elevate user experiences in areas that require outstanding graphics performance, such as workstations, PCs, and game consoles, and is expected to expand into future applications such as AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and automotive vehicles. The next-generation graphics DRAM will be brought to market in line with industry demand and we plan on continuing our leadership in the space.”

Samsung GDDR7 DRAM Details
With this new tech, the South Korean Tech Giant showcases the 16-gigabit GDDR7 DRAM, offering improved data speeds, surpassing 24Gbps with DDR6 DRAM. This memory technology enables growth in the graphics market with stable performance and a 1.5TBps record.
Furthermore, the GDDR7 model boasts 32Gbps data speed, thanks to PAM3 improvements, allowing 50% more data transmission than previous generations. It’s 20% more energy-efficient than the older GDDR6 module.
