Samsung has just unveiled its Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, the next iteration of the company’s clamshell foldable device at the second-half Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, its first-ever held in Seoul, South Korea. Alongside the new foldable, the company also launched the Galaxy Z Fold5, the new Galaxy Tab S9 series, and the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
The Galaxy Z Flip5 expands the outer panel to occupy the top half of the rear panel and introduces a redesigned hinge for a more flat design.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5
The larger outer display measures 3.4 inches and is a Super AMOLED panel with a 748×720 resolution. It now allows you to do more without opening the device. Among the features you can do includes accessing the camera and checking, replying to your messages, and taking high-quality selfies with the rear camera. Additionally, you can customize it with themes, widgets, and wallpapers.
Inside, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The hinge has also been redesigned so it folds and unfolds completely flat.
The outer panel also houses two 12MP sensors, one main and the other for ultrawide shots. Rounding out a highlight of its specs include a 3700mAh battery with support for up to 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, IPX8 rating, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for both the front and back.
