Sony has just teased a launch event scheduled for July 24. The company didn’t reveal much but it is expected that the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds will make its debut at the event.

The event announcement has a tagline – “The Best Silence Drops” along with the date and the time. This hints at the focus noise cancellation which puts a lot of pressure on Sony, especially with how well the WF-1000XM4 earbuds were received when it launched many years ago.
The poster also has a curving design that seems in line with previous leaks and renders that have been going around and has allowed the Sony WF-1000XM5 to pick up a lot of hype and steam recently.
It is believed that the next-generation earbuds will have the hardware to aid in the LDAC codec and deliver Hi-res quality. Additionally, there are speculations that the XM5 may have a secondary driver to offer a deeper sound.
With only a few days to go until the launch event, we expect to learn at least a bit more about the XM5 earbuds as the company will start to build hype for the event.
