TECNO is poised to grab the top spot as number one smartphone brand on major Philippine e-commerce platforms after achieving the highest smartphone sales on July 8 during the TikTok Shop Philippines event.
Changing the game of TikTok live shopping, TECNO was recognized as the Sales Champion by TikTok Shop Philippines after the successful 7.7 sale. This achievement was made possible by a live stream and shopping session featuring the popular celebrity brand ambassador Joshua Garcia and the well-known gamer Akosi Dogie. It was the first time on TikTok Shop that a heartthrob celebrity and a top-ranked gamer collaborated for a highly acclaimed live shopping event.
The live shopping format, known as “shoppertainment,” showcased Joshua and Akosi Dogie playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) using the popular TECNO CAMON 20 Pro Series. Fans had the rare opportunity to play MLBB with their idols and even have video calls with them.
TECNO Milestone on E-commerce Platform
TECNO’s success in e-commerce was remarkable. Starting as the third best-selling smartphone on July 7, it quickly secured the top spot as the best-selling smartphone during the TikTok Shop 7.7 Sale last July 8. In Addition, TECNO also reached a milestone of 700,000 subscribers on its TikTok platform.
TECNO’s efforts in e-commerce extend beyond TikTok Shop Philippines – third place rankings in both GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and Orders/Sales, on Shopee Philippines and Lazada Philippines during the 7.7 sale. TECNO was recognized by Shopee with the Shopee 2023 E-Commerce New Star Brand Award.
