Google had previously rolled out a new feature exclusive to Premium users that lets them watch videos with enhanced quality, aka Premium 1080p. It was, however, initially available to iOS users.
Now though, the company has rolled out the feature to web users as well. That means you’ll see two 1080p options, the usual one, and YouTube 1080p Premium. For the moment, it seems to be available for select videos only.
YouTube 1080p Premium
What’s the Difference Between YouTube 1080p Premium and the Regular 1080p? 1080p Premium uses higher bitrate which in general means videos should look better.
Were you able to try this new feature? does it work as it should? and if you’re not on YouTube Premium, is this enough for you to make the jump?
