OPPO has been very active in promoting their latest series of OPPO Reno smartphones. The series is packed with towering features that really makes this device as their best Reno generation yet. I have been using the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G for quite some time, and I can absolutely say that this is indeed their best Reno. This smartphone is a clear testament to OPPO’s dedication to creating innovative and excellent products that have wowed tech enthusiasts everywhere.
A Treat for the Eyes
The OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G features a striking design that is sure to catch your attention. Its glossy color variant, with a bigger camera module and sleek look, gives it a premium feel. The phone’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection ensures durability without sacrificing style.
The device comes with a 3D curved screen that boasts a remarkable 93.9% screen-to-body ratio. Its slim profile, weighing just under 200 grams and measuring 8.28mm thick, makes it easy to carry around and protects it from scratches.
The display size has been upgraded, along with improvements in screen resolution and brightness. Resolution is now 2772 x 1240 and has rating of 100% P3 Gamut, which makes it very color accurate. This is important especially to those who want to see the true colors of the photos they are going to take and videos they are going to watch. It is also compatible with HDR 10+ and HDR video play, which is a must-have display feature so you can enjoy supported videos on popular streaming platforms like Amazon Video Prime.
Now, some people would ask: why would you need such feature on a display that usually rests on your hand? It’s easy! Philippines has the most number of average mobile screen time in Asia, and that says a lot about how Filipinos use their devices. Activities include browsing social media feed, watching Youtube, and streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Go.
OPPO has included dynamic refresh rate presets of 45, 60, 90, and 120Hz on the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G. This features makes it possible for you to enjoy games that support the said refresh rates so you can play up to the highest possible FPS.
The phone is definitely a visual treat, both internal and external.
Powered by flagship chipset
Inside the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, making it a strong contender in the flagship segment. This choice not only ensures good performance at an affordable price but also adds to the phone’s premium appeal.
Benchmark results show that the Reno10 Pro+ 5G performs well, even when compared to newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The device’s cooling system also deserves praise for keeping temperatures low during intensive gaming.
I also played 4 games and measured FPS performance, CPU Temperature, Device Skin Temperature, and CPU Usage throughout my game time. You will notice that the game mostly hovers around 50 – 60fps, and does not go above 45-degrees celsius at high settings.

OPPO has made significant improvements to the camera of the Reno10 Pro+ 5G. With three lenses at the back and one in the front, users can enjoy an amazing photography experience.
The 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera, 64MP Telephoto Portrait Camera with OIS, and 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera allow users to capture stunning images with enhanced clarity, color, and lighting. It is important to note that OIS (or optical image stabilization) can help a lot in achieving desired focus when framing your shots.
The device excels at capturing a wide range of light and shadow exposures while maintaining accurate colors. In fact, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G features a pro-level telephoto portrait camera that is the most advanced periscope telephoto camera on any smartphone, ever! Because of this significant upgrade, OPPO further improved its Portrait Photography features even at low light. Portrait features have also been improved, giving photos a more natural-looking bokeh effect and better focus.
Now, imaging this: when you combine all the pro upgrades that this phone received – OIS, pro-level telephoto portrait camera, and improved sensor – you get a smartphone that can definitely tag along with your more expensive mirrorless cameras.
Feature-Rich and Practical
OPPO managed to also add a few more extra features on the Reno10 Pro+ 5G. These things bring extra value to its already-impressive set of features. My personal favorite are the Infrared Remote-Control, Multi-screen Connect, and enhanced security measures added to the phone’s appeal. Remote control function on a smartphone is scarce, and seeing it on this demo is a definitely a breath of fresh air. With this, it is easier to control your appliances – quite useful if you can’t find that darn remote control. Multi-screen Connect, on the other hand, lets you connect the Reno10 Pro+ 5G to your PC – for instance – so you can easily copy and paste contents from your phone to PC, see your phone notifications on your PC, and file transfer, to name a few.
Moreover, the Auto-Pixelate feature automatically pixelates sensitive information in screenshots, providing added privacy for users.
Reasonable Price
For a flagship-levelphone, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G’s price tag of PhP39,999 seems reasonable considering the features it offers. The powerful processor, advanced camera capabilities, and unique features make it a strong competitor in its segment.
