Last month, the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G started hitting the retail shelves. The series is here to enhance your experiences with top-notch cameras, gorgeous displays, and strong performance. The series offers devices that are posed to be more than phones but pro-level partners for seizing and enjoying every life moment. Let’s take a closer look and see how the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G turns each milestone into something extraordinary.
Make Pro Grade Masterpieces with OPPO Reno10 Series 5G
In my previous article, I briefly mentioned the camera benefits that you can get from the series. In fact, if you look closer, these are the features that mainly give the series an appeal that even other smartphone brands are having a hard time toppling.
Conversely, the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G’s prowess lies in its camera system, truly a pro-grade masterpiece. The two Pro models, OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G and OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G, share a 50MP 1/1.56-inch IMX890 main rear camera and an 8MP ultrawide IMX355 sensor, ensuring that every shot captures vivid details and rich colors. The real distinction comes in their telephoto lenses: the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G wields a 64MP 3x telephoto lens, while the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G is equipped with a 32MP 2x telephoto lens. Both models are equipped with a 32MP IMX709 front-facing camera for stunning selfies.
The OPPO Reno10 5G, meanwhile, shines with a 64MP OV64B main sensor, complemented by a 32MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 32MP OV32C front lens ensures that your selfies are nothing short of spectacular.
All three phones within the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G are equipped with Pro Portrait features, which add a captivating bokeh flair to your portraits. Notably, the Pro+ 5G takes it a step further, presenting an upgraded Pro-Portrait Mode with a 3x portrait focal length. These features ensure that you’ll be able to bring life to your portrait shots. In my experience with both OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G and OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G, the quality of my portrait photos are impressive – the phones’ sensors are able to smoothly separate the foreground and background, and the color accuracy is topnotch.

Now, enough with specs; let me talk about the shooting experience. I am not in any way a Pro photographer, but the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G gives ways for ordinary smartphone photographers like me to feel and shoot like a Pro.
For instance, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G has several choices of grids and guides in its default camera application. By simply going to the Camera Settings > Grids and Guides, you will be able to set among the following: None, Grid, Diagonal Lines, and Golden Spiral.
You may have heard about Golden Spiral before but this is a compositional tool to guide viewers’ eyes through an image in a visually engaging way. It’s a technique that transcends the world of art and finds a valuable application in photography, especially when it comes to framing subjects, leading lines, and creating balance.
In practical terms, the spiral helps in positioning the main subject or points of interest along its curves or intersections. Placing key elements within or near these focal points draws the viewer’s attention naturally, leading them on a visual journey that feels both instinctive and aesthetically harmonious. This feature definitely helped me both achieve an ideal shot and learn in the process.
Additional Info: The Golden Spiral, also known as the Fibonacci Spiral or the Golden Ratio Spiral, is a geometric concept that has captured the attention of artists, architects, and photographers for centuries. It is derived from the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones (e.g., 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and so on).
Another Pro feature that exists on the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is the Preserve Settings. Blogs and videos do not usually mention this but this allows you to choose between preserving specific modes and settings or starting anew each time you fire up the camera application. This is particularly helpful when you’re shooting in a controlled environment, e.g. studios and locations where white balance and luminosity are the same or controllable.
Lastly, you can break away from Auto Mode with the OPPO Reno10 Series 5G. While most smartphones can do this, I like the fact that OPPO managed to add a way to toggle Histogram and use the telephoto mode from 1x to 6x. This gives additional flexibility when shooting in Auto Mode.
Now, before I move on to talk about its other Pro features that complement its impressive camera settings, I would like to address its lack of RAW and how you can do it on the OPPO Reno10 series 5G. Yes, the default Camera Application cannot shoot RAW, but has support for HEIF. This balances the camera features and makes it a little more less intimidating for users like me.
Aspect | RAW | HEIF |
Definition | Unprocessed format capturing full sensor data | Compressed format conserving space on your device |
Benefits | Offers high quality, great editing flexibility | Smaller file sizes, good quality, works on modern devices |
Drawbacks | Larger file sizes, requires post-processing | Less editing options compared to RAW |
However, should you still want to shoot photos at RAW, you can check out ProShot app, which sells for PhP390 on Google PlayStore. It gives you manual controls, Dual Dial System DSLR-like interface, RAW (DNG) and HEIC support, Histogram with Modes, and a lot more!
Like I mentioned earlier, the OPPO Reno10 5G Series are complemented with other amazing specs and features. From display to charging, allow me to give you a quick rundown of it other Pro features.
