HONOR has unveiled its future vision for smartphones at IFA 2023. Its CEO, George Zhao, emphasized the brand’s commitment to make foldable smartphones more common. The event also marked the debut of the Magic V2, the thinnest and lightest inward foldable smartphone, and the V Purse, a new concept that turns a foldable smartphone into a fashionable piece.
George Zhao, CEO of HONOR, stated, “HONOR’s foldable smartphones have come a long way, with each new version showing improvements in design, functionality, and durability. With the HONOR V Purse, we are exploring ways to use foldable technology for creative and stylish solutions.”
HONOR V Purse is designed with sustainability in mind, using eco-friendly materials like vegan leather for its straps. Its customizable displays can match any outfit, offering endless style options in the digital age.
HONOR has also collaborated with cultural experts, including a BURBERRY menswear creative director and contemporary artists, to design unique displays for the device, enhancing its fashion appeal.
At IFA 2023, HONOR also presented the HONOR Magic V2, their new flagship foldable smartphone. It is the lightest and thinnest inward foldable smartphone HONOR has made to date, weighing only 231 grams and measuring just 9.9mm when folded. It features a slim battery with a high capacity of up to 5,000mAh.
HONOR Magic V2 also boasts a durable hinge that can withstand more than 400,000 folds, ensuring a long lifespan. It packs a triple rear camera setup and supports technology to reduce eye strain during extended use.
HONOR takes home 36 Media Awards
This year at IFA 2023, HONOR received 36 awards from various media outlets. Android Headlines honored the HONOR V Purse with the “Best of IFA 2023” award, noting that it’s not just a phone but also a fashion statement and a great conversation starter. GSMArena also praised the innovative design of the HONOR V Purse, appreciating the company’s out-of-the-box thinking.
