itel introduced the itel S23+ in Ethiopia, the company’s latest device joining its vanilla sibling – the S23 unveiled in June.

The itel S23+ is built around a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED and boasts a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits peak brightness, 93% screen-to-body ratio, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The front has a 32MP sensor housed in a punch hole, while around the back is a dual camera led by a 50MP lens.

Under the hood, it is powered by a Unisoc T616 chipset and according to the official listing, it is said to come with 4/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The device has Dynamic RAM Expansion technology which uses the storage to double the memory to up to 16GB.

The company also boasts Atom Storage technology that is said to automatically detect and organize fragmented data. This is said to keep the read and write speed as good as new.

Additionally, it has GPT AI Assistant by simply saying “Hi, Aivana”. The assistant is said to be able to help you in planning your travels or crafting social media posts through voice or textual conversations.

The S23+ features Dynamic Bar, itel’s take on the Apple Dynamic Island featured in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max and now in the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max.

Pricing and Availability

itel has yet to announce the price and availability of the itel S23+ but it is said to be available in Africa in a lone 8GB+256GB memory configuration.
