Meta has officially unveiled the Meta Quest 3, its latest mixed-reality headset. It builds on the Quest 2 but the third-generation headset brings with it upgrades.
Meta Quest 3
The Meta Quest 3 is the first device to be powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset, which is said to offer twice the graphic processing power as the Snapdragon XR2 in the Quest 2. The Gen 2 chipset, according to Meta, delivers lightning-fast load times and offers crisp details in games.
The headset itself offers a 4K+ Infinite Display which has 25 pixels per degree and 1,218 pixels per inch. In addition to what Meta considers its most advanced display and optics, the headset has a 40% slimmer optic profile thanks to the next-generation pancake lens optical stack.
The Quest 3 also has a more customizable fit and balanced weight distribution compared to its predecessor.
