The concept of rollable smartphones isn’t exactly new. Back in 2021, LG showcased one on a teaser, and just this year at MWC, Motorola also showcased its own take with the Rizr. Now though, TECNO has unveiled its own take on the concept. It’s called the Phantom Ultimate.
Initially, the TECNO Phantom Ultimate has a 6.55-inch On-Cell LTPO AMOLED display, but at the press of a button, a single-drive motor allows the rest of the display to roll over, expanding its size to 7.11 inches.
When not rolled out, the remaining section functions an always-on-display, only now, it’s at the back. Of course, as with other concepts, there’s no telling whether this device may or may not see the light of day.
