After the previous leaks, TECNO Mobile has officially taken the wraps off the TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G during the Flip In Style Tecno Flagship Product Launch 2023 held in Singapore. The device is the company’s latest foldable device and its first clamshell foldable device.
TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G
The TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G features a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED panel on the outside designed for easy one-thumb control. On the outer ring of this panel is a 64MP main camera with PDAF, ISOCELL Pixel Isolation, and a Pixel Fusion Algorithm. It is joined by a 13MP ultrawide camera.
Unfolding the device will reveal its 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 32MP front lens.
The clamshell foldable device has a FreeCam System that allows you to capture moments with the front and rear cameras while folded from 30-150˚.
The Phantom V Flip 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also features Memory Anti-Aging and Memory Slimming to further optimize its memory performance.
The company also revealed that it will soon release a fragranced protective case with fragrant microcapsules incorporated into the leather production process. The scent is released slowly by pressure, friction heating, or natural diffusion. These are said to be available in Rose, Sea Shore, or Cologne options.

Pricing and Availability
According to GSMArena, it was announced to be priced at INR 49,999 (around PHP 34,300). Furthermore, the report mentions that it is priced in Europe at EUR 700 (around PHP 42,300).
