Leaks of the TECNO Phantom V Flip have been prevalent recently, from live photos to its Google Play Console listing. More recently, a case maker was spotted with a listing for a case for the clamshell foldable, pretty much revealing its design. Yes, this is still very much up as of writing this.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, this is TECNO Mobile‘s clamshell device joining the ranks of the Phantom V Fold, its book-type foldable device. If you’re interested to read our review on the V Fold, click here.

According to this case maker’s listing, the TECNO Phantom V Flip has a round cover display with an outer ring for the two cameras and the LED flash as well as a screen on the inside. The LED flash is placed on at the 12 o’clock spot, while one lens is at 9 o’clock and the second lens is between the two.

The circular design was pretty much shown in the live photos leaked previously but we only now get a better view of what’s exactly in the module itself. This is pretty unique compared to the available clamshell devices like the Galaxy Z Flip5, OPPO Find N3 Flip, vivo X Flip, and even the Motorola Razr 40 and 40 Ultra which either use a rectangular cover screen or cover the entire top half of the back of the foldable.

Moreover, the renders that the case maker seem to hint at a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with a more flush design on the power button.

TECNO Mobile has yet to mention the TECNO Phantom V Flip in any official capacity though. With that said, it’s good to note that the renders used in the listing are most likely based on schematics which could mean the elements like the camera and buttons could be drastically different from the actual device. However, we expect the circular cover screen and the button positions to be retained.
