Last October 1, Disney stopped broadcasting its linear TV channels in Southeast Asia which includes channels like the National Geographic channel.
The eventual stoppage of the channels involved was shared last June 2023.
Disney Ceases TV Channels
A previous report released by Variety predicted these future actions by the broadcasting company back in 2020 and 2021, including its sports network ceasure in Taiwan and the closure of Fox, Fox Crime, Fox Life, FX, Channel V, and other movie networks.
Other programs that have been ceased include:
- Baby TV
- National Geographic
- National Geographic Wild
- Star Chinese Movies
- Star Chinese Channel
- Star Movies
- Star World
However, you can still watch these channels by getting a subscription to Disney+/Hotstar platforms except in China.
