vivo unveils Funtouch OS 14 following the official launch of Android 14 unveiled with the Pixel 8 series. The latest version of Funtouch OS delivers an enhanced and smooth user experience.
Funtouch OS 14
Funtouch OS 14 brings a vivo touch to the latest version of Android and highlights five areas – Smoothness, Multitasking, Personalisation, Productivity, and Privacy.
To start, it introduces Smooth Envision which enhances system performance, responsiveness, and the ability to keep more apps active at the same time by reducing the number of persistent processes and optimizing RAM usage. This includes RAM Saver, Extended RAM 3.0, Motion Blur, and App Retainer features.
- RAM Saver – release up to 600MB of space for the fast start-up of multiple apps
- Extended RAM 3.0 – lets you have up to 36 apps active (12GB RAM) or up to 27 apps active (8GB RAM)
- Motion Blur – uses advanced algorithms to simulate motion blur when opening and closing apps on the screen
- App Retainer – ensures 100+ whitelisted apps that have not been closed manually are always restored to the last interface so you can continue where you left off.
A new upgraded small window feature will help with multitasking. You can keep up to 12 small windows active in the background. This ought to be useful with things like keeping an eye on your ride-hailing app, watching a video, and chatting.
For Personalisation, Funtouch OS 14 now allows you to customize the clock style on the lock screen with options to choose from three clock layouts and eight font styles. A new monochrome theme was also introduced based on the Material You design.
New video editing tools will also be introduced. This includes customizable video quality settings, including resolutions up to 4K at 60fps and 25 filters.
Lastly, a Smart Mirroring feature will allow you to share your screen without worrying that the notification bar will show up. Your hidden photos will now also be protected by an additional password verification step.

Meanwhile, here is the roadmap for iQOO devices in India:
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
