Google has officially unveiled the Google Pixel 8 series in an event held in the US and livestreamed via YouTube. The latest series is comprised of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
This was introduced alongside the new Pixel Watch 2.
The Google Pixel 8 series features the new Google Tensor G3 chipset coupled with a Titan M2 security processor. The new chipset is said to offer 2x faster machine learning than the Pixel 6. The former unlocks a variety of features for both devices. Among these include the AI-powered camera features like Best Take, Real Tone, and for the Pixel 8 Pro, Video Boost.
The chipset also unlocks features like Call Assist, Call Screen, and Read Aloud.
Google has also announced at the event that the Google Pixel 8 series will receive 7 years of software updates, including Android OS, security updates, and future Feature Drops. The Google Pixel 8 series is also to run on Android 14.
