Following the official announcement of the new and smaller PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, the company recently revealed the pricing of the new console and its accessories in Southeast Asia. Yes, that includes the Philippines!
Smaller PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Southeast Asia Pricing
The new smaller-sized PlayStation version will offer the same performance as the original PS5 but the new version has a reduced volume by more than 30% and weighs 18% and 24% less for the Physical and Digital Editions, respectively.
Additionally, it now has four separate panels with a glossy finish on the top panel and a matte look on the bottom panels.
With that out of the way, here’s the pricing of the new PlayStation 5 models in Southeast Asia:
Philippines
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – PHP 30,790
Indonesia
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – IDR 9,699,000
- PS5 Digital Eiditon – IDR 8,199,000
Malaysia
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – MYR 2,499
- PS5 Digital Edition – MYR 2,069
Singapore
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – SGD 799
- PS5 Digital Edition – SGD 669
Thailand
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – THB 18,690
- PS5 Digital Edition – THB 15,690
Vietnam
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – VND 15,990,000
The console will first be available in the US this November and will have its global roll out in the following months. This variant is also confirmed to replace the first version when its stocks run out.
The company will also be selling the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for the PS5 Digital Edition later. These will be sold separately in Indonesia (IDR 1,839,000), Malaysia (MYR 529), Singapore (SGD 159), and Thailand (THB 3,790).
In addition to the disc drive, a Vertical Stand compatible with all PS5 models will be sold as well for PHP 1,690/IDR 499,000/MYR 149/SGD 44.90/THB 1,090/VND 799,000.
The company also announced that a variety of PS5 Console Cover colors for the new model will be officially available in early 2024. These include an all-matte Black and Deep Earth Collection colors that come in Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterlin Silver with new colors coming later. These, however, don’t have local pricing as of writing this but these are priced at USD 54.99/EUR 54.99/GBP 44.99/JPY 7,480.
