After various leaks that started as early as March 2023, OnePlus revealed that it will introduce its first foldable – the OnePlus Open on October 19.
OnePlus OpenRumors and Leaks So Far
The announcement poster reveals a button/switch which the company calls an alert slider with a textured finish. It also reveals a relatively slim device that comes in a familiar green tone.
The OnePlus Open is believed to be a ‘traditional’ foldable, while the renders reveal a massive circular camera module with what appears to be a triple rear setup and an H on the right hinting at a Hasselblad setup. Rumors mention a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP camera with 3x optical zoom.
It is said to come in two color options – a faux leather black and a glass green. The latter looks to be the same colorway as the teaser photo which is pretty similar to the finish of the OnePlus 11 5G.
According to rumors, the Open is said to feature a 6.31-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner display. Under the hood, it is said to offer up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and at least 256GB storage coupled with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
OnePlus has yet to reveal anything about the OnePlus Open though, as of writing this, but we expect a slow reveal of its highlights the closer as it builds hype for the big launch.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
