Ahead of the October 26 launch, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro were spotted on the Geekbench benchmark. There were two devices that featured 16GB of RAM.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro Geekbench Listing
The two devices were under the model numbers Xiaomi 23127PN0CC and Xiaomi 23116PN5BC. The former is believed to be the Xiaomi 14 with lower scores, while the latter is said to be Pro variant with a drastically higher result. The former device also went through the older Geekbench 5 test, while the latter was tested on Geekbench 6.
Compared to our Geekbench 6 scores of the Xiaomi 13 Pro which was done in early March, the Xiaomi 14 Pro looks to have a drastic increase. The 13 Pro (12GB+512GB) scored 1145 and 4007 in the Geekbench 6 single and multi-core tests, respectively, while the 14 Pro clocked in at 2150 single-core and 6892 multi-core scores.
When comparing the alleged 14 Pro to top-specced devices like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it’s still a big leap with the Ultra recording 1877 in single-core and 4762 in multi-core. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is probably the closest from our tests with 1984 in single core score and 5328 multi core score. This definitely makes us excited to get our hands on the Xiaomi 14 Pro and see if it clocks in a similar score with a retail device.
The listings also reveal the devices will come with at least 16GB RAM and give us a glimpse into the core setup of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. These come in four clusters clocked at:
- 1 core at 3.30GHz
- 3 cores at 3.15GHz
- 2 cores at 2.96GHz
- 2 cores at 2.27GHz
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit which will be held on October 24-26 in Hawaii. The keynote will be live-streamed at 3 AM on October 25, Philippine Time.
Xiaomi has confirmed that it will unveil the Xiaomi 14 series on October 26. Thankfully we don’t have to wait too long to learn about the Xiaomi 14 series and the chipset that is expected to power the devices.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
