Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 14 series, the company’s latest flagship series. The series is comprised of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro and is powered by the freshly unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and improved Leica cameras for the main lenses.
Additionally, the duo is the first to run on the company’s new HyperOS out of the box.
Xiaomi 14 Pro
Let’s start with the Pro variant which is built around a 6.73-inch 2K 120Hz LTPO OLED panel. The panel has a micro curve. This is pretty much the same as its predecessor but the 14 Pro offers up to 3,000 nits and is protected by Xiaomi Longjing Glass.
Around the back, it has a new sensor which they call the Light Nunter 900 with a custom Leica Summilux lens. This is a 50MP lens that is 1/1.31 inches with a 1.2 μm pixel size. The new lens also offers a variable aperture that goes from f/1.42 to f/4.0.
Joining the main sensor is a 75mm f/2.0 telephoto camera that can capture 40MP regular photos and 50MP portraits. Last of the triple rear setup is a 50MP ultrawide snapper that can take up to 5cm macro shots.
The trio are housed in a squarish camera module with a metal Parisian hobnail texture bezel.
The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is accompanied with 12/16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Meanwhile, the 4880mAh battery supports 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 14
Its vanilla sibling, on the other hand, is a compact device built around a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
The rear camera setup is roughly the same but the main 50MP camera has a fixed-aperture lens at 23mm f/1.6 and drops the autofocus and macro features of the 50MP ultrawide lens as well as the front camera to a 30MP lens. The telephoto though remains the same.
Unsurprisingly, the chipset is retained but offers 8GB RAM as the base variant. The battery has also been toned down to a 4610mAh battery with support for only 90W wired fast charging but offers 50W wireless charging as well.
