ZTE recently announced that its CEO, Mr. Xu Ziyang, spoke at the 2023 SDG Digital event, which was hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). At the event, ZTE received recognition as one of the first P2C Champions by ITU.
In his speech, Mr. Xu talked about the company’s vision and efforts, confirming ZTE’s dedication to advancing digitalization and sustainable development. He stressed the importance of bridging the digital gap in underserved areas around the world. ZTE has committed to investing $400 million each year in information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure for Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) by 2025, following the Partner2Connect (P2C) principles.
