According to MacRumors, the iPhone SE 4 is likely arriving with a more modern design more akin to the iPhone 14, ditching the iPhone 8-style design it used for two generations.
iPhone SE 4 Rumors
The iPhone SE 4, which is known as a device under the codename Ghost with a device identifier of D59, is expected to be the company’s next-generation budget iPhone.
A report mentions that the previously used iPhone 8-inspired design will be retired and instead will use a chassis that’s more similar to the iPhone 14. With this being the case, the fourth-generation device will not have the Touch ID button but will feature an all-screen display with Face ID.
The SE 4 is said to be 165g which makes it 6 grams lighter than the iPhone 14 but the more affordable device is said to feature a single 48MP rear camera.
Despite a seemingly lower-specced iPhone 14, the fourth-generation iPhone SE is reported to feature the Action button and a USB-C port. The former was introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro devices, while the latter is the main highlight of the entire iPhone 15 series.
When is the rumored iPhone SE 4 launch?
Rumors claim that the SE 4 has a potential debut in 2025. However, with the launch date so far out, there could be a lot of changes in hardware on launch, so do take these reports with a grain of salt.
