The Xiaomi SU7 electric vehicle, approved by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is allegedly set to debut soon with three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max.

The Xiaomi SU7 (with model numbers BJ7000MBEVR2 and BJ7000MBEVA1) is a C-class sedan with a single UAES motor, LPT batteries from FinDreams, and optional LiDAR for driver assistance and autonomous features.

On the other hand, the SU7 Pro and SU7 Max, powered by 220kW and 275kW dual motors from Suzhou Innovance Automotive, are equipped with Li-ion ternary batteries from CATL.

You can buy the EVs without the Lidar option. The Lidar tech is said to be located at the back of the windshield and this may also include a camera attached to the B-pillar that may be used for facial recognition.

The SU7 series by Xiaomi is reported to begin mass production this December 2023 with deliveries slated for February 2024. The starting price is said to be CNY 149,000 (around PHP 1,200,000).
