inDrive, a US-based ride-hailing company, is set to challenge Grab in the Philippines, having been officially recognized as a transport network company by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

inDrive As A New Challenger

The ride-hailing company, set to launch next year, aims to challenge Grab’s 65,000-vehicle fleet in the Philippines’ ride-hailing industry. The company is currently focusing on driver recruitment and onboarding, offering USD 10 (around PHP 550) fuel vouchers and exemption from service fees.

One of its features, after confirming a ride request, allows users to choose their preferred driver, with a list of available drivers including rating, vehicle model, and estimated arrival time.

inDrive will start driver registrations in Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo City, Cagayan de Oro, and Butuan until December 31.
