ROG Phone 8 Series China Launch
Meanwhile, ROG shared a teaser video on its official Weibo that the ROG Phone 8 series will debut in China on January 16 in a separate launch event.
The video though seems to reveal that the latest gaming phone series from ASUS ROG will arrive with slimmer bezels than its predecessor. You can check out the video here.
Not much else is known of the ROG Phone 8, as of writing this though, but the the company revealed a blind camera contest with a photo revealing what the camera module looks like.
Based on the photo, it appears to have a fresh module design with a larger main camera on the left flanked by two smaller cameras stacked on top of each other. This is drastically different from its predecessors which had the cameras in a horizontal line.
However, as it is a flagship device, we expect to see a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset at the helm and a high refresh rate on the front panel.
