ASUS has just held its In Search of Incredible: Transcendence virtual launch event at CES 2024. During this, the company revealed its latest products and offerings coming this year. Among these is the ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024), a dual-screen laptop with intuitive gesture control and dedicated smart software.
ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024)
The Zenbook Duo (2024) features two identical 14-inch 16:10 OLED touchscreens that go as high as 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina. These are joined by a lay-flat 180° hinge to instantly expand the workspace to up to 19.8 inches.
The laptop can be used vertically or horizontally for several user modes – Laptop, Dual Screen, Desktop, or Sharing mode. The differences are all controlled by the intuitive ASUS ScreenXpert software.
Under the hood, the laptop has up to an AI-powered Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, Intel Arc Graphics, Intel AI Boost NPU, up to 32GB LPDDR5X, and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
For connectivity, the Zenbook Duo (2024) offers:
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 2x Thunderbolt 4 with support for display/power delivery
- 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS
- 1x 3.5mm combo audio jack
It is also equipped with a 75Wh battery and comes with a full-size Bluetooth ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad. Moreover, it combines multitasking versatility with mobility in a light 1.35kg package.
What are some of the software features of the ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024)?
On the software front, the company introduced an intuitive gesture control to navigate the laptop. Here are some of its highlights:
- 6 fingers on the bottom panel – bring out the virtual keyboard
- drag down to bring out the extended display with the virtual keyboard out
- Switch with two fingers
- 3 fingers to bring out the virtual touchpad
- Expand the display with 5 fingers
