MSI Titan 18 HX, Powered by Intel 14th Gen Core i9
MSI has just unveiled its latest flagship gaming laptop, the Titan 18 HX, at CES 2024. This absolute beast of a machine packs some of the most powerful gaming hardware we’ve seen in a laptop.
At the heart of the Titan 18 HX lies Intel’s latest 14th gen Core i9-14900HX processor. The 14900HX offers insane levels of performance with its 24 cores and 32 threads, boosting up to a blistering 5.8GHz. Combined with the enthusiast-grade HM770 chipset, this laptop can plow through the most demanding games and creative workloads with ease.
MSI Titan 18 HX is ready for hard core gaming
Graphics duties are handled by the cutting-edge NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 or RTX 4080 GPUs with 16GB and 12GB of GDDR6 video memory respectively. These new RTX 4000 series GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture deliver a massive leap in performance and power efficiency thanks to new technologies like DLSS 3. Ray tracing and AI-accelerated gaming have never looked more stunning.
The Titan 18 HX boasts up to 128GB of blisteringly fast DDR5 RAM clocked at 5600MHz. It also offers ample storage with three M.2 SSD slots, allowing users to configure up to 12TB of storage using high-speed PCIe Gen 5 SSDs.
MSI has outfitted the Titan 18 HX with their largest vapor chamber cooler yet, ensuring that all this heavy-duty hardware can sustain boost clocks under full load. The Titan 18 HX supports MSI’s OverBoost Ultra technology, delivering an industry-leading 270W of total graphics power when paired with the RTX 4090 GPU.
MSI Titan 18 HX has 4K mini-LED panel
This much power demands an equally capable display to do it justice. The Titan 18 HX sports an expansive 18-inch 4K mini-LED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. With VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, advanced local dimming zones, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, this display promises an incredibly vibrant and responsive visual experience.
Keyboard, Weight, Speakers, and more details
Content creators will appreciate the Titan 18 HX’s Cherry MX ultra-low profile mechanical keyboard. Per-key RGB lightingmanaged through SteelSeries Engine software allows for extensive customization. The world’s first seamless RGB haptic touchpad also adds to the premium experience (my personal favorite).
At just 24mm thin and weighing 3.6kg, the Titan 18 HX has an unexpectedly portable footprint for such a performance behemoth. MSI has refined the design with gamer-centric features like a centralized 1080p webcam, THX Spatial audio powered by six Dynaudio speakers, and an RGB light bar running along three sides of the chassis.
With the Titan 18 HX, MSI proves that it can push the envelope of laptop engineering to create a no-compromise portable gaming powerhouse. This machine sets a new bar for enthusiast-level gaming performance in a notebook form factor. Gamers looking for the ultimate mobile battlestation will definitely want to consider adding this titan to their arsenal.
The MSI Titan 18 HX will be available starting Q1 2024. SRP and availability in the Philippines will be announced very soon.
