Xiaomi held a big launch event in Bangkok, Thailand where it was headlined by the Redmi Note 13 series. But alongside the company’s latest Redmi Note series devices, the introduced new wearables namely the Redmi Buds 5 series and the Watch 4.
Redmi Buds 5 Series
The Redmi Buds 5 series is comprised of the Redmi Buds 5 Pro and Buds 5.
The Buds 5 Pro supports LDAC and offers up to 52dB active noise cancellation (ANC). The earbuds offer three ANC modes, an AI adaptive modes, and three additional transparency modes. It will also offer five different EQ profiles and said to offer up to 10 hours of playback and up to 38 hours of constant use with the charging case. The Pro variant comes in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple.
The Buds 5, on the other hand, has up to 46dB ANC with three modes and three transparency modes. It is said to offer up to 10 hours of playback and up to 40 hours of use with its charging case. The case has a matte exterior and a glossy interior. It comes in Black, White, and Sky Blue.
The Redmi Buds 5 series supports the Xiaomi Earbuds app to experience extended functionality like personalized noise cancellation, intelligent-adaptive noise cancellation, customized EQ, and more.
Redmi Watch 4
Lastly, the Redmi Watch 4 is equipped with a square 1.97-inch AMOLED panel with an aluminum alloy middle frame and a stainless-steel OTS rotating crown. The watch also boasts a new quick-release mechanism, making it easier to switch straps.
Among the Watch 4’s features include:
- upgraded 4-channel PPG sensor for improved heart rate and SpO2 monitoring
- more than 150 sports modes with six recognized activities
- Bluetooth calling
The Redmi Watch 4 is available in either a Silver Grey or Obsidian Black bezel and a matching strap of Pastel Purple, Dark Cyan, or Mint Green color straps.
