During the Galaxy Unpacked event, the Samsung Galaxy Ring was teased as the company closed out the massive event. However, ahead of any details, tech analyst Avi Greengart shared details based on a prototype unit on Threads.
The Galaxy Unpacked event was where the company introduced the Galaxy S24 series comprised of the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra boasting Galaxy AI features.
Samsung Galaxy Ring Details?
According to the analyst, Samsung’s upcoming wearable ring is light an comes in sizes of up to US size 13 or 22.2mm in diameter. It is also said to have different material finishes and will launch later this year.
Samsung shared a teaser during the Galaxy Unpacked event which seemed to show pogo pins on the inside of the ring for charging. It also showed sensors that could be used for heart rate and SpO2 monitoring as well as sleep and stress tracking.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is rumored to debut in Q3 2024, but there’s no official announcement yet, as of writing this, understandably.
