Samsung has just concluded its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, during which it unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S24 series comprised of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Galaxy S24 series unleashes new mobile experiences with Galaxy AI which introduces AI-powered features to the next-generation Galaxy S series. This includes enabling barrier-free communication with intelligent text and call translations to maximize creative freedom with the ProVisual Engine.

Make Everyday Experiences Epic
Galaxy AI introduces meaningful intelligence aimed at enhancing every part of your life. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will now defy language barriers with Live Translate, a two-way, real-time voice and text translation of phone calls within the native app. The on-device AI also keeps conversations completely private.
Moreover, there’s Interpreter which translates live conversations on a split-screen view so you can stand opposite someone else and read a text transcription of what the other person said. It doesn’t require cellular data or Wi-Fi.
Chat Assist can also help perfect conversational tones to ensure communication sounds as it was intended. An AI was also built into the Samsung Keyboard, so it can translate messages in real-time in 13 languages.
Meanwhile, Android Auto in the car will automatically summarize incoming messages and suggest relevant replies and actions like sending someone your ETA.
Other AI features include:
- Note Assist in Samsung Notes to summarize, create templates, and streamline notes
- Transcript Asissts for voice recordings that use AI and Speech-to-Text technology to transcribe, summarize, and even translate recordings
- Circle to Search with Google – if you long press the home button, you can circle, highlight, scribble on, or tap anything on the Galaxy S24’s screen to see helpful, high-quality search results
Unleash Creativity to Discover the World in New Ways
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series highlights the ProVisual Engine, a comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools that transform image-capturing abilities and maximize creative freedom every step of the way. This includes setting up a shot to sharing it on social media.
Meanwhile, other AI camera features include:
- Galaxy AI editing tools – enable simple edits like erase, re-compose, and remaster
- Edit Suggestion – to suggest perfectly suitable tweaks for each photo
- Generative Edit – fill in parts of an image background with generative AI, this can be used for crooked photos and more
- Instant Slow-mo – generate additional frames based on movements to smoothly slow down action-packed moments for a detailed look
- Super HDR – reveals lifelike previews before the shutter is pressed
Additionally, third-party social media apps make the most of the Galaxy’s AI-powered camera system.
Some highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and an Exynos 2400 for Galaxy for the Galaxy S24 and S24+. The S24 series is also secured by Samsung Knox and uses Passkeys for more convenient and secure access to your registered websites and apps.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is also confirmed to offer seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
