HMD Global, well-known for producing smartphones under the Nokia brand, is about to introduce its range of products, doing away with the Nokia name.
The business hinted at the products that would soon be released, which will include tablets, smartphones, and wireless earphones. It is anticipated that the first smartphones bearing the HMD name will be unveiled during MWC Barcelona on February 26–29.
HMD Global Drops Nokia Branding?
HMD Global still shows the “Makers of Nokia phones” tagline on their website. so it may hint at future Nokia-branded feature phones. The company aims to introduce a range of tough, fun, secure, fast, and affordable new phones, with current Nokia-branded smartphones and tablets discounted until supplies last.
Meanwhile, Nokia Corporation continues to lead in network equipment and holds significant patents essential to 5G technology.
Recent leaks reveal render images and design details of HMD-branded smartphones, coded Pulse, Pulse Plus, Pulse Pro, Legend, Legend Plus, and Legend Pro, expected to be entry-level to mid-range devices running on Android.
The first of these smartphones is anticipated to launch in the first half of 2024, although further details about features and pricing are yet to be announced.
