TECNO Mobile has just taken the wraps off the TECNO Camon 30 Premier 5G and a peek into its camera capabilities along with the rest of the Camon 30 series at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024).
The TECNO Camon 30 series is confirmed to be comprised of the Camon 30 Premier 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G, and Camon 30. Although, we’ll get to the other devices in the series later.
These were introduced alongside the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G, TECNO AI, and other new innovations and products.
TECNO Camon 30 Premier 5G
The TECNO Camon 30 Premier 5G will feature a triple 50MP rear camera led by a Sony IMX890 sensor. It is joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. Yes, actually triple 50MP lenses!
The Camon 30 Premier 5G, along with the rest of the Camon 30 series, will debut the TECNO PolarAce Imaging System, the company’s first imaging system with an independent imaging chip. This will embrace the latest AI technologies among other features to address struggles to produce smooth, high-quality footage at night, and limited full-scene HDR capabilities on traditional chipsets due to lack of computing power.
Moreover, the device will feature the Universal Tone technology which helps adjust the accuracy of every skin tone in your photos. The development of this feature was advised by Dr. Kaida Xiao, University of Leeds Associate Professor in Colour and Imaging Science.
“For years, imaging technology has not encapsulated skin tone diversity. While AI promises much to overcome this, it is often trained with historically biased data. TECNO’s multi-skin tone color card solves this issue scientifically by collecting mass amounts of unbiased data, and by integrating it with more advanced AI into TECNO’s camera system, TECNO has been able to truly capture the beauty of diverse skin tones,” said Dr. Xiao.

The TECNO Camon 30 series is confirmed to be introduced in Q2 2024.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
