Nothing has officially unveiled the Nothing Phone (2a), which finds itself in the middle of the Phone (1) and Phone (2). It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro and a 5000mAh battery.
Nothing Phone (2a)
The Phone (2a) features a 6.7-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate goes as low as 30Hz for better battery consumption. It also has a 2.1mm slim bezel on all four sides of the device.
What makes the device stand out though is its new eyes which are the two 50MP cameras housed inside the NFC coil. It also has a 90° angle unibody cover that wraps around the edges to create a new dimension and perspective to the design.
The Glyph Interface, this time around has as trio-light configuration that encircles the dual rear camera.
The rear camera system is powered by the company’s TrueLens Engine which uses computational algorithms to ensure that every shot is as close to real life as possible. The system includes Ultra XDR, co-developed with Google, for a more accurate display of highlights and shadows in every shot.
Under the hood is the Dimensity 7200 Pro which was exclusively co-engineered with MediaTek. The chipset is built on the 4nm process and has clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz.
Nothing and MediaTek have also introduced optimizations to the Nothing Phone (2a) that include Smart Clean and Adaptive NTFS as well as reducing the power consumption of specific components by up to 10%.
The device is also powered by a 5000mAh battery that is said to offer up to two days of use on full charge. It also supports 45W fast charging that delivers 50% in just 20 minutes.
The company revealed that the Phone (2a) will come with three years of software updates and four years of security updates.
