OPPO has confirmed the launch date for the OPPO Watch X in China, following its debut in Malaysia. The smartwatch, initially titled OnePlus Watch 2, will have software variations.

For starters, the global variant runs Google’s Wear OS 4, the Chinese version will feature ColorOS Watch based on AOSP, likely to optimize costs. However, hardware specifications remain consistent across both versions.
Available in Platinum Black and Mars Brown, the watch features a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with 466 × 466p resolution and 326PPI pixel density. It boasts up to 1000 nits in high brightness mode and 600 nits in default mode. Equipped with a 500mAh battery, the watch weighs approximately 80 grams with the strap.
In addition, the new smartwatch will feature a dual chipset architecture, comprising a Snapdragon W5 chip for heavy tasks and a BES2700BP microcontroller for less demanding ones, the Watch X offers an estimated 12-day battery life.
Pricing in China is rumored to be around CNY 1,000 (around PHP 7,700), significantly lower than its global counterpart.
