According to a report from Korean outlet SisaJournal-e, Samsung is aiming for a price around 1.05 million won or roughly $800 for this cheaper Galaxy Z Fold6. That’s less than half of the existing $1,799 price tag and even cheaper than the $999 Galaxy Z Flip series.
However, to hit that more budget-friendly price point, some cuts will reportedly be made. Rumors point to the display, battery, and chipset. As for its cameras, it’s either a triple or dual lens configuration. It won’t be a surprise if the device won’t support the S-Pen as well.
The most interesting potential cut is to the chipset on this cheaper Fold6 variant. Samsung could opt for a more affordable Qualcomm offering or one of its own Exynos chips for the cheaper version. Qualcomm just announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a slightly less powerful chip designed for more affordable high-end phones.
