Spotify has just announced that it will start rolling out music videos in 11 countries for Premium users in beta.

The company mentions that the music videos will be another way to enhance artist-to-fan connection. It attributes music videos as one of the many ways that fans discover and fall in love with artists and thus is a ‘natural fit to live’ on the audio streaming platform.

The beta version of music videos will begin rolling out with a limited of music videos including for hits from artists like Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Aluna, and Asake.

The company clarified that throughout the beta launch, it will continue “to innovate and iterate based on feedback from both users and artists.”

Which countries will get the beta music videos in beta for Spotify?

According to the announcement, the feature will initially be rolled out in Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, the UK, and the Philippines for Premium users. .

On what platforms will the music video betas be available in?

The company confirmed that the feature will be available on iOS, Android, desktop, and TV devices.

How can you access the music videos?

For supported tracks, you will see a “Switch to Video” which will then play the music video from the beginning with the Now Playing View. You can always switch to “Switch to Audio” if you want to return to background listening.
