ZTE has just introduced the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra in China which boasts dual satellite communication technology and other impressive features. However, it was stated that the device will not be offered publicly in China.
ZTE Axon 60 Ultra
The Axon 60 Ultra has a focus on security with an independent security chip. Moreover, it runs on Jingxing OS based on a dual-system architecture. The architecture lets users switch between user mode and kernel mode. The former lets you run with limited access to system resources. Meanwhile, the latter gives the OS to unrestricted access to its hardware.
The next-generation Ultra device boasts ZTE Hongyu satellite communicate technology and dual satellite connectivity. This means users can take and make live voice calls and text message without cell service.
The device itself features eight built-in 5G antennas and an adaptive multi-antenna switching algorithm for improved connectivity. It boasts support for 5.5G (also known as 5G-Advanced), China Mobile’s new high-speed 5G network that offers downlink speeds of up to 10Gbps and uplink speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Other features of the device include a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED panel, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 6000mAh battery, 80W fast charging support, 50MP main rear camera, 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front snapper.
It also supports NFC and comes with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The device will not be sold to the public but ZTE CEO Ni Fei has revealed plans to release a flagship phone with satellite communication technology that will be offered to the public later this year.
