ASUS BTF Design

ASUS is driven to innovate, and we are constantly exploring and experimenting with technology to deliver better experiences to everyone. With this user-centric approach, ASUS has launched the Back-To-the-Future (BTF) series of products and solutions.

BTF represents a new DIY direction, aiming to enhance PC assembly by hiding connectors on motherboards, promoting cleaner cable management and a minimalist appearance.

Ready for a BTF Build

The new ASUS ecosystem of Back-To-The-Future (BTF) PC components lets users easily build a PC that tucks the cables out of sight for a tidy look — made possible by new motherboards that hide their connectors on the back side rather than the front.

Standard PC DIY components work with BTF motherboards, but a compatible chassis is required. ROG Hyperion BTF and TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB motherboard tray include cutouts for BTF connector access.

Two chassis options for a BTF Build

For the most part, standard PC DIY components will work with a BTF motherboard. Users will not need specialized CPU coolers, power supplies, SSDs, or RAM; but they will need a compatible chassis. Standard motherboard trays will not let users access the connectors on a BTF motherboard.

ASUS offers the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition, a special edition of its award-winning chassis with motherboard tray cutouts, superior cooling performance, and ample elbow room for graphics cards, as well as a 34 mm-deep cable management chamber and 46 mm-wide routing channel.

ASUS introduces the TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB, a white mid-tower chassis designed for the TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi. It features four 140 mm ARGB fans for superior airflow and a detachable top panel for easy installation and cleaning of an AIO liquid CPU cooler, simplifying the build process.

The GT302 is a mid-size tower that balances size and compatibility, comfortably accommodating ATX motherboards and high-end graphics cards with substantial cooling solutions.
