AMD CEO, Lisa Su recently held a keynote at Computex 2024 announcing the AMD Ryzen 9000 series desktop processors and AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPUs. The launch of the new Ryzen 9000 series CPUs signifies a new platform chipset: the X870. Following the keynote, brands such as ASUS showcased its X870 motherboard at Computex 2024. The one displayed at the ASUS booth is the TUF Gaming X870 motherboard.
ASUS TUF Gaming X870 Motherboard
The ASUS TUF Gaming X870 concept motherboard features PCIe 5.0, 2.5 Gbps LAN, multi-M.2 slots, USB Type-C and USB4. The new TUF Gaming design certainly isn’t final as I feel that it’s lacking the signature TUF patterns as the top heatsink and M.2 cover lack the TUF design.
We have yet to know more about the X870 chipset and TUF Gaming X870 motherboard as these details are set to be available once we draw closer to the Ryzen 9000 series release date.
