Google is set to officially launch the Pixel 9 series this coming August 13. This is earlier than the usual October release dates of the series’ predecessors.
Pixel 9 Series Coming Soon?
The company has confirmed the August hardware launch of the phone series by launching a dedicated teaser page on the Google Store. The page features a video revealing the design of the Pixel 9 series, aligning with previous leaks. The video prominently displays “IX,” confirming the Pixel 9 nomenclature and the page’s URL includes “google_pixel_9_pro,” leaving little room for doubt about the impending release.
Google plans to expand the Pixel series beyond the launch date, adding a Pixel 9 Pro XL to the standard Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro models.
The Pixel 9 series is expected to feature a new flat-edge aesthetic and a revamped camera bar, with rumors suggesting the debut of Google’s foldable, possibly named Pixel Fold 2 or Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel Watch 3 series is also expected to be present at the event.
This event is set for August 13 at 10:00 AM PT and will happen at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California.
