Motorola has just introduced the Moto Razr 50 and Razr 50 in China. The latest clamshell foldables come with large cover displays that cover the top half of the back panel.

The larger panel around the back offers the same expanded features as previous Razr devices like watching videos or seeing yourself when taking photos but with more screen real estate.

The Moto Razr 50 Ultra is built around a 6.9-inch 165Hz FHD+ pOLED panel on the inside and a 4-inch 165Hz FHD+ pOLED panel on the outside. The inner panel houses a 32MP front snapper and the outer display has dual 50MP cameras with a secondary telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset coupled with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Ultra device supports up to 45W fast charging to top up its 4000mAh battery and has an IPX8 water resistance rating.

The Razr 50, on the other hand, is built around the same 6.9-inch pOLED inner panel as its Ultra sibling but tones down the refresh rate to 120Hz. The outer panel is also slightly smaller at 3.6-inch and limits the refresh rate down to 90Hz. 

The inner panel still houses the 32MP front snapper but this time the 50MP main rear camera is joined by a 13MP ultrawide lens.

Under the hood, the vanilla device features the dedicated foldable MediaTek chipset – the Dimensity 7300X. The SoC comes with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. 

Moreover, the battery is slightly larger with a 4200mAh cell but only supports 30W wired fast charging.
