MSI is one of the brands that made headlines at Computex 2024 with its various laptop launches from CPU refreshes with the Intel Arrowlake and AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPUs as well as new products to cater to new customers at different product segments. We’ve taken a tour around the MSI Booth and it’s definitely one of the largest on the show floor to house these new devices. And with that, we narrowed it down to five products that we’re looking forward to reviewing once they arrive in the Philippines.

MSI Pulse 16 AI

The Pulse is an existing segment from MSI Gaming line but what makes us excited about the new MSI Pulse 16 AI is its “redesign.” Coming from last year’s Pulse 17, the new Pulse 16 AI is smaller and thinner hence the lower number. Design-wise, the keyboard deck now has these slanted lines mimicking data transfer or hyperspace travel to denote the laptops speed. The MSI Pulse 16 AI is already available in the Philippines for Php 124,9995.

MSI Mercedes-AMG Stealth 18 AMG Motorsport

MSI continues its partnership with Mercedes-AMG with the launch of two new racing-themed laptops. One of them is the new MSI Stealth 18 AMG Motorsport, a larger variant of the previously launched Stealth 16 AMG Motorsport. The larger form factor allows for better cooling, a larger battery, larger screen, and of course, more power components over the smaller model. What also makes the Stealth 18 AMG Motorsport interesting is it has a slightly different design over the 16-inch model making it a more premium gaming laptop.

MSI Stealth 14 AI Studio

I have been personally interested in smaller form factor laptops as I enjoy seeing how brands overcome the engineering challenge of having to fit powerful components in such a small form factor. The Stealth 14 AI Studio is one of the thinnest laptops available. Notice that I didn’t write gaming laptops? That’s because the Studio moniker makes the Stealth 14 AI Studio a laptop for creative professionals. While it does inherit MSI Gaming’s DNA, the few tweaks MSI applied to what would’ve been a gaming laptop is what makes it interesting as most creator laptops are usually in a 16-inch chassis.

MSI Stealth 16 AI

We’ve been longtime fans of the Stealth 16 gaming laptop as it started out as one of the few thin and light gaming laptops in the market rivaling ASUS’ ROG Zephyrus line and MSI’s Razer Blade Stealth. The Stealth 16 has then evolved from a thin and light gaming laptop to roughly the same but with more features geared towards creators. Now while it seems like it contradicts what we’ve said about the Stealth 14 AI Studio, it’s worth noting that the Stealth 16 AI hasn’t gotten the Studio name and is still therefore a gaming laptop. Reviewing either of the two or better yet both, makes us understand better what makes a laptop more for creators or gamers, at least from MSI’s perspective.

MSI Claw 8 AI+ Gaming Handheld

MSI was quick to jump on the handheld market with its MSI Claw featuring Intel Core Ultra CPUs but like all of the brands who entered the handheld scene, its first-gen product needed some revisions to make it better. Just less than a year after debuting the Claw Gaming Handheld, MSI has already prepared its successor, the MSI Claw 8. The new MSI Claw 8 not only features the latest upcoming Arrow Lake CPU but a design overhaul which makes it as interesting as the previous Claw had an uncanny resemblance to the Ally.

MSI has a lot more interesting products at Computex 2024 that didn’t make it into the cut. A close contender would be the new MSI Modern 14 featuring the upcoming Ryzen AI 300 series CPU and many more. Be sure to check out the rest of our Computex 2024 articles to know what to expect in the latter half of the year.
